SITE SAFETY LOGISTICS PLAN
The Site Safety – Logistics Plan is a standard tool between subcontractors and main contractors that used as a communication tool, and should be completed before starting a construction project. Site – Logistics plans ensures that relevant site information is regularly updated and safety is monitored.
A Site Safety – Logistics plan ensure basic health and safety actions companies need to do, such as:
- Hazard management and identification
- Accidents and occurrence investigation
- Train and/or supervise staff
No permit will be issued for the demolition or construction of a major building, or for the improvement in the façade of a major building if a sidewalk shed becomes necessary until a site safety plan that meets the requirements of Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Administrative Code has become approved by the department. Exceptions: 1. A site safety plan and site safety program is not needed for the improvement in the façade of a major building between 10 and 14 stories tall. 2. A site safety plan and site safety program is not needed for partial demolition operations in major buildings where the partial demolition operation is restricted to the interior parts of the building and where mechanical demolition equipment, aside from handheld devices, aren't used.
