What is an SST Card?
SST stands for Site Safety Training. Under Local Law 196 of 2017, all construction workers and supervisors in New York City are required to complete specific safety training and obtain an SST card from the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB).

No. If your OSHA 30 card was issued within the last 5 years, you only need to complete the remaining 10 hours (8 Hour Fall Prevention + 2 Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness) to qualify for your Worker SST card, or the remaining 32 hours for your Supervisor SST card.
Can I complete SST training online?
Yes. Able Safety Consulting offers all SST training courses online. You will need a webcam, microphone, and photo ID.
Is the SST card included in the training package?
The SST card is included free with full training packages. For individual courses, the card can be ordered separately for $50.
How long does it take to receive my SST card?
SST cards are typically received 7–10 business days after placing an order.
