NYC Noise Mitigation Plan – Able Safety
Sites where construction activities take place must clearly post a complete and accurate Construction Noise Mitigation Plan at the site at all times. The plan must follow all the rules outlined in Title 15 of the Rules of the City of New York (RCNY) Chapter 28, linked below under Additional Information. Construction Businesses do not need to file the plan with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP); however, it must be readily accessible to DEP inspectors that examine the construction site. NYC noise mitigation plan is compiled into a book known as the Rules of the City of New York (“RCNY”). There are 71 titles in the RCNY, each covering a different City agency and its rules
Section 24-220 of the NYC Administrative Code requires that a nyc noise mitigation plan must be implemented for a construction site when certain devices are used or construction activities are conducted. The plan should outline mitigation strategies and best management practices (as defined in 15RCNY Section 28-102) when such devices or activities are employed.
